So, things are still crazy in the Wilborn household. We thought we would be moving last weekend, but decided to do a "little" more remodeling before moving in. So, this week, I have been driving back and forth from Birmingham trying to organize the renovation of both the house and my office. In the meantime, Ansley started her new school in G town too. She has been my commute buddy! She has done very well with her new surroundings. It is so funny how resilient kiddos are! I met Baylor's "teachers" and the 3 other babies that are in her "room" on Wednesday. This will be Baylor's first daycare experience, so we are a little nervous. Brett and I are still not sure that we want to take her to the daycare just quite yet, but at least we have the option. Sweet Baylor....I wish we could convince our Nanny to move to G town!
We have already met a lot of our new neighbors. The contractor that is working on our house has been working very late at night and in the wee hours of the morning trying to get finished. I am sure the neighbors appreciate us keeping them up at night and giving them a wonderful wake up call in the morning. The neighbors are all super nice. It turns out that there are a lot of young families on our street, so it should be fun!
Patients are scheduled for the first week of May! Woohoo!

Some favorite things....
I was sitting here and absolutely nothing is on TV...how can Gray's Anatomy AND Private Practice have reruns....yuck...boo.
3. Little Giraffe blankets. BOTH my girls must have their Little Giraffe "nite-nite's" when they go to sleep. I seriously wish they made an adult version of this blanket. I might be guilty of snuggling up to one of the girl's blankets when they arent looking....
Anyways, thought I would join the fun and try and list a few of my favorite things...so here goes...
1. Ghirardelli chocolate.....I am obsessed with adding this to my coffee in the morning...YUMMY. Well, and to just be completely honest, I like anything chocolate.
2. Baby Legs- as noted before, I love these! They are awesome!!! Makes diaper changing so easy, plus protects legs during crawling (on carpet...not so swift on hardwoods...a wee bit slippery) PLUS, Ansley likes to wear them on her arms with a T-shirt...pretty cool style I think:)

4. Anthropologie- my absolute favorite store. I could spend hours in there!
5. Smocking- so I might already have a touch a grandma in me...but I love love to smock. I wish I had more time to do it! I have made about 5 dresses from scratch :) My next goal is to learn how to French hand sew.6. Fabuloso cleaner. I absolutely love the smell of Fabuloso. I have been trying to find the spray bottle solution, but to no avail. I have only found the concentrate version for mopping, etc. But...the smell is fantatstic and stays around. Love it!

Our girls...they are my world!!!
We took this picture yesterday! Sweet sisters!
Baylor has been queen of not wanting to stand up....until this weekend! She is a champ...look at those yummy legs! :) We are obsessed with Baby Legs!....Brett says she can only wear these until she is walking...and then no knee highs or *gasp* thigh highs while she is under his roof! Ahahahahahah! Oh, and I found her two mandibular central incisors erupting yesterday as well!
Sweet weekend :
What a wonderful weekend! We had a very rare non traveling weekend....and it was SO nice! I guess this is our last weekend in Birmingham too....*sigh*.....*HOORAY*! :) We were busy all weekend packing up boxes and jetting out of the house for people to come look at the house. We had 3 different couples come by this weekend...may not seem like a lot to some, but for us, this was a busy weekend as far as home showing goes. We cant help but be a little disappointed at the lack of people coming by our house. :(
Friday was a busy day at work, but then Brett's parents and Allie came over for dinner. Ansley was super excited to see them. We did a simple menu of steaks, mac and cheese and brocolli. Yes, a weird combo, but one we could get together rather quickly since we dont get home till around 6:00. Saturday was a fun filled day of packing and then a great night with some friends. Ansley loves playing with their two boys :).
Tonite is just more packing! Looking forward to my last full week of school.....eva! Yipeeeeeee!

where are the teeth and thesis is defended!
So, my obsession lately (yes, it usually changes daily) is where in the world is Baylor's first little tooth?!?!? Now her sister got her first tooth right at 6 months....textbook. I feel like Baylor has been teething since she was 3 months old. I seriously thought she would get her first tooth early! Yes, I know this is stupid, but I am constantly in my precious baby's mouth. Which, by the way, she HATES! Now, Baylor doesnt fuss much, but when I get in her mouth, she lets me know I am invading her personal space! :)
Tuesday was defense day for the third year resident's! I am SO glad that is over! HOORAY. So now, all that is left to do in the 14 days I have left until graduation is to turn in the final thesis and finish up on my patients! So hard to believe that as of April 9, I will no longer be going to any form of school! I mean, I am about to be a REAL adult! hahaha!

How is it Monday already!?!?!?
These weeks are flying by.....at lightening speed. I now have less than 3 weeks until graduation. I try and make one decision for the office, then end up getting all caught up in something else about the office. I feel like a do g chasing it's tail!! Uggh! Who knew picking out accent wall colors could be so frustrating! I really wish someone would just do it for me. Really!
We have the home inspection tomorrow on our house in Gadsden. Hopefully we will be able to close next week. Yay! I think the girls will love living there. Pictures to come soon. And....no, we still have not sold our house here in Bham. Patiently waiting though!
The weekend was fun and busy. We had our ortho alumni meeting on Friday and Sat......from which I skipped out early on to go to Montgomery for a baby shower and to see April and Trent. Ansley went along with me. We had a blast. She really enjoyed having me to herself. I wish I had my video camera during our visit with Trent. She literally could not take her hands off that sweet baby boy! (sorry April) Not to mention that she sneezed on the little man (horrors!!!! I am still mortified). She is STILL talking about Trent and April. It was a great short visit!

Hooray for FRIDAYS...and Happy Anniversary to me and Brett!
I am so glad that Friday is finally here. This has been a totally yucky week! 34 days until graduation.....hip hip hooray! Plus...we have some wonderful weather for the weekend. So things can only go up from here! ha!
Brett and I have been married FIVE years today! So basically, 2 kids and 5 years later, here we are. Time has FLOWN by! I am totally in love with my husband. He is my "rock" and I love him, love him, love him!
School stinks...as always. I LOVE the treatment part, it is just all the "mess" that goes on that I am tired of. Anyways....
Office is progressing. I pretty much have most things picked out. Now I just have to bite the bullet and pay for it all! Yikes!
Brett and I are going to Gadsden tomorrow to look at houses again. We will probably put an offer on one this week. We are REALLY excited about moving. We only wish we could sell our house in Birmingham.
The girls are doing great. Ansley talks about moving to Gadsden a lot and seems really excited about it. She is completely potty trained now (1 full month of big girl undies!!!). We are so proud of her. Her new thing now is striking her new "pose" when we take her picture. It is hilarious. I try and not laugh, but it sure is hard. We have her recital pictures tomorrow, so it should be interesting. I am sure the "pose" will be in full force. Baylor has now learned how awesome it is to scream. That is fun. She is so sweet and thinks that Ansley is the funniest person on the planet. Baylor is ready for us to put her to bed no later than 7pm. We will go in her room at 7:15 in the morning and she is either still asleep or is just playing in her crib. I am amazed at that child. She is such a happy baby!

Trying to figure out this blog thing!
So, I am trying to figure out how everyone makes their blogs look so darn cute. Seriously....found thecutestblogontheblock.com, but the I finding out that apparently the layout matters...Anyway, I should be working either on my thesis or on the office, but am at the moment, obsessed with getting this block at least semi close to everyone elses. I am SUCH a newbie!
This weekend was awesome. We got to celebrate my Dad's 58th birthday in Montogomery on Saturday. It was such a treat to be able to have our family together. Everyone is so busy these days that it is a feat to try and get everyone together. I sometimes secretely wish that I would know what it was like to live in the "olden" days when everyone wasnt so busy. You know what I mean? Maybe like in the 50's? I am in constant struggle with myself trying to decide if I am doing what is best for my family. Yes, I love what I do, but is it at the expense of my family? I pray about this daily and am hoping for a revelation soon. I miss my girls during the day! One of my friends stated a couple of months ago how she is "trying to slow down and enjoy the moment". I am trying to live by that...I really do want to sit back, relax, and enjoy where I am in my life now. I cant help but stress about the future...Maybe this is a life lesson for me?
I am obviously just rambling..but these are the thoughts in my head. I have decided to use this blog sort of as my "journal" if you will. So, if you are bored at this point, just stop reading. :) I am surrounded by a bunch of men in my residency, so in a way, this is how I am going to vent! Ahaha!
Back to the weekend....sweet Baylor was baptized Sunday! It was a very blessed day and a wonderful celebration. Baylor did awesome! She sat through the entire service...yes, even the sermon! She even held the priest's hand during the baptism....I almost cried. She is quite possibly the SWEETEST baby in the world. Ansely did awesome as well. She also sat through the service and stood at the baptismal font like a big girl. I am amazed at how she has turned into a little girl, it seems, overnight! I am so thankful for Baylor's godparents. They are awesome and are my inspiration to be a better Christian. I know that they will be wonderful Godparents to Baylor.
Well, just received an annoying email from my chairman about my thesis...must go and make amends. Until later...toodles.

trying to slow down and enjoy the moment!
Today has been a very productive day! Yay! Ansley and I started out our day by heading to Gadsden to tour another preschool. I have been in utter turmoil about having to leave South Highland CDC...we love it! I didnt think we would ever finding a school as great as South Highland....but as usual, I was wrong. We are so excited that Ansley is going to have a spot at Episcopal Day School in April. Her new teacher has her MASTERS! Momma likes that! They have an organized curriculum...I am so impressed! Ansley loved her visit. She was a little shy at first, but ended up staying in what will be her new classroom while I toured the entire school. NO tears when I left! WOW! By the time we left, Ans was holding hands with another girl in the class and blowing kisses to some cutie little boy in the class! What a ham!
After touring the school, Ans and I went by my office and picked up some paint swatches at a hardware store that is nearby. They have finished putting the new roof on the office, so we are ready to start painting and putting in the new floor.....but first I must pick out the colors! YIKES! I dont even know where to start with all of this, so Katy is going to help me out! I have some WONDERFUL friends!
My website is almost complete! HOORAY! check it out when you get a chance www.wilbornorthodontics.com It is just my logo right now, but the live site should be up in a few weeks.
Sweet Baylor. I dont even know where to start about her. She is 6 months old now and I truly believe that she is the sweetest baby on the planet. She is so patient and laid back. Definitely gets the laid back part from her Daddy! She is sitting up by herself now and has been drooling for 3 months...where is that darn tooth? Her hair is now standing straight up. I mean, STRAIGHT up. So funny. Yes, she gets that from me. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 4 months old....ever since we took her pacy away. Sounds harsh, I know, but she was waking up about 7 times during the night because the pacy had fallen out of her mouth. Our pediatrician said 4 months was a great age to get rid of it because she would not remember having a pacy in about 2 days. I felt bad about it, but man, we were TIRED. We, I mean, I, am not the best at letting my girls "cry it out". Dont like that. Bay cried for about 5 minutes the first time we put her down, then woke up about 3 hours later, cried 3 minutes, then that was it. She started sleeping through the night. Now, this would have NEVER worked with Ansley. She didnt sleep all the way through the night until she was 9 months old!
Brett is doing great. He is putting up with me while I freak out about opening up my practice and is the most awesome Dad. He has been doing all the cooking lately since I havent been getting home until after 6. Brett is my rock. I am so in love!
Well, I think that is definitely enough for now.

Poo goes in the POTTY!!
Probably too much info for most people, but it has been a HUGE two weeks for the Wilborn household! Ansley has mastered using the potty!!! hip hip hooray!!!!!!! I feel like all I have talked about lately is either poo or teeth....yes, a VERY weird combo! Here is a picture of Ansley with her "prize" for accomplishing this task!!!! Ignore the mess you see behind her....
